Quick
Introduction:

My name is Yasmin N. Garcia Avalo,

I'm a UX designer graduated in Applied Computer Science, a free time artist and a yoga instructor.

I speak fluent Spanish, Norwegian and English.
I grew up in Spain and have been in more than 23 countries around the world (mostly working).

My best qualities are lots of energy, optimism, problem solving, curiosity, creative thinking and social skills.
I am kind, communicative, open, warm, humorous and strive towards balance. I'm also very into philosophing/talking, immersive dancer and traveller.

My pillar values are authenticity, honesty, freedom and respect.

Fun-fact: The “swirling shapes” are letters. I created my own vertical alphabet. It's meant to be appreciated, not understood.

UX Design,

My Future

UX Design work

I have a bachelor degree in Applied Computer Science from OsloMet (Oslo Metropolitan University) with specialization in UX design, HCI, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Human-machine interaction for me means to become an ambassador between end-users and stakeholders. I'm really eager to learn to design experiences in real life and be part of a team. I want to be part of the digital world in a way that fits my personality, soft skills and purposefully make a difference.

Art,

My Passion

Artistic work

Art-wise I have been fascinated with human emotions and the psyche. Earlier works explored more raw and intense states, while later creations have got influenced by my own journey into yoga and spirituality.

I love surrealism and its creative ways of communicating human states and mysteries.

I am self taught, playing with everything I find useful. I often go from digital to hand-made.

Yoga,

My Life-Style

Yoga practice

Yoga is my way of growing stronger within and without. I offer trainings that are meant for building core, expanding our range of motion while staying centered in your breath.

I am still a student so to say. For me yoga is not the fancy poses, or the aesthetic looks, but a building process. By connecting to our bodies, mind and spirit we slowly embody a life style meant to be integrated in daily life.

I mostly teach in companies, because that's where it's most needed. I love it.
